Team Kobbi

Name: Fox Meadow Elskan Min Fjallakobbi CGC (AKC)

DOB: June 20, 2018

Breed: Icelandic Sheepdog

Handler: Michael Koster / Team Support Patricia Buckley

Kobbi started training with RICSAR in the fall of 2018. Presently Kobbi is the smallest K9 on the team, but don’t let his size fool you, he has a mighty big heart and an amazing nose! His primary reward for training is food, Kobbi is every bit the definition of a “chow-hound”! Kobbi is very easy to train, which is helpful as he learns to work with different handlers, he will work with anyone that has treats.

Kobbi spent the first four years of his life living on a boat. His love of watercraft helped when certifying for Human Remains Water Search. While his “sister” Noora may be the first Icie to certify in SAR in North America, Kobbi is probably the only Icelandic Sheepdog in the world to certify in human remains water search.

In his free time, Kobbi like going for hikes, swimming after tennis balls, FRISBEE catching and chasing tennis balls with Noora.
